This past summer we were approached by Matthews House Hospice, a non-profit hospice based in Alliston, Ontario, to put together a full image package for the team: photo and cinema to represent the compelling story of Matthews House Hospice. From here, we tumbled into logo creation, website design and a full campaign package for their upcoming campaign to raise $6 million to build a new hospice in our town.
This project stretched us and inspired us creatively. The work the Matthews House team does is so important and we wanted to represent it well. Below are some of the results of our efforts.
The Matthews House website is filled with information; really, there is just so much to share about such a complex topic. So many questions to be answered, so many people that want to learn more, and so much cause for contribution from the community – volunteers, donors, and people who want to get involved in some way. We needed to create a website that looks good and is functional for sharing such a large amount of important information. We also needed to make sure that it is always easy and straightforward for users to donate using Canada Helps. Have a browse, check it out here.
Matthews House offers hope to hurting families, helps build up communities, and gives opportunities for people to live their lifeto the fullest. We worked with them to create a logo design that was as hopeful as their message.

We created a set of photos that would be useful in promotional circumstances; for brochures, newsletters, and to populate social media. Essentially this is a set of stock photos just for Matthews House, and needed to reflect the feel and vibe of the client and the community they cultivate. Of course, we also took photos of interior, exterior and volunteers at work – if you’d like to see those, we invite you to check out the Matthews House website!
Thank you to the whole team at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, Ontario for trusting us with such a large project. We are so honoured to be part of such an important cause.
